I leave Ricardo's, cross over and catch a bus to New Cross Garage and change for the Greenwich bus. The route takes me along New Cross Road which like Old Kent Road hasn't changed a great deal since I was living nearby back in the very early 90's. The Venue is still there, although looking down onto what was Fordham Park has all changed. Built up and my old local The Dew Drop is no longer there. Shame as it was a great pub where I had many good nights. After New Cross we go through Deptford , a place I used to come for cheap groceries and the odd gig which I think was at The Fountain, and possibly in the basement. Apparently its now a noodle bar.
Shortly I arrive in Greenwich and its busy. Lots of tourists as its summer and its a hot sunny day and there is a lot to see in Greenwich. Greenwich observatory , the Maritime museum, The Queens house, the Cutty Sark, antiques market and the indoor market to name a few
